The staff were extremely pleasant and efficient. The hotel has a feel of luxury even though not classed that way. The afternoon tea was a favoriate and you could get fresh cooked eggs with your breakfast. Wonderful place. Room was upgraded...not the room I had booked. Ended up in a very large suite...it was very nice.
If you like to open your windows, you get the noise of the city...not on a busy street but near enough.

Reasonable value, room was wonderful, staff were fabulous. The location was super - within walking distance of everywhere we wanted to go. The lunch in Gasthaus Sapa next to the hotel had every choice imaginable.

unique ambiance but could improve room amenities
The hotel offers a unique ambiance with its exquisite decor and fascinating artworks throughout. The breakfast selection was both visually appealing and delicious, setting a high standard for morning meals.
The room amenities could use an update for enhanced comfort.

Very nice hotel. Friendly and helpful staff. Great breakfast and nice afternoon tea. Good location, walking distance to all the sights, but not right in the heart of it so nice and peaceful. Fantastic shower. Room was a good size. A great hotel that we would definitely recommend.
We found the room did get quite warm. Also the pillows were too flat for my liking and I found them uncomfortable. Small issues though.

Stylish hotel, shared areas with good taste. Great breakfast, special hot dishes every day. In general, the hotel is very hospitable to its guests - fruits, afternoon tea with a sweet dessert as a compliment. There is a feeling of care for every guest. This is a good feature of the hotel. In the room there were curious books and art albums, museum center with disks. Excellent cosmetics in the bathroom.
The hotel is still a long way from the center. It takes more than 15 minutes to get to the opera in quick steps. A couple of times when we were late or when we were in another part of town, we took a taxi (7-9 euros to the hotel). If it is not embarrassing, the hotel as a whole deserves recommendations. The biggest inconvenience is the noise from the window. Especially early in the morning, probably from garbage cars. The Camilla suite-room was booked a bit disappointed (it looked more interesting on the illustrations), it faces the street, opposite the "window in the window" of the apartment building. The bathroom is a bit uncomfortable (although in this room it is large, there is a shower and a bath), but there is no dressing table and nowhere to hang bathrobes and towels. A small wardrobe.

The staff are well trained which one expects. However, each member really puts themselves out to help each guest. They go above and beyond to make a stay in foreign city warm, friendly and familiar. We had to change hotels to a very modern business hotel which may have had the latest in facilities, but failed to meet the standard level of service set by the wonderful folks at Aldstadt.

The Alstadt was very well located in the trendy Spittelberg district, close to restaurants, bars etc. 10 min walk to Volks Theater Subway Station from where all districts were available. Very close to the Museum quarter. Super breakfast buffet. Staff were very helpful in getting tickets to concerts and events.
The walk to the subway could be a problem for some older and not so good walkers.

Wonderful staff, best breakfast ever. Upgraded to suite that is larger than my apartment.... Fantastic lounge area for breakfast and free tea and home made cake in afternoons
Still not used to the two single mattresses side by side for a double bed....

I enjoyed my stay , from the friendly staff to the lovely breakfast buffet. Don't miss the delicious sweets served in the afternoon! Make sure to request a courtyard room for tranquility amid the city's bustle-it's worth it for peace and quieter vibes.

Staff were excellent, professional and friendly. Very good recommendations for restaurants and tips for ensuring we enjoyed our stay in Vienna. It is a nicely designed hotel. It felt like we were living in our own apartment in a very cool community. I have already recommended this hotel to friends and we would definitely stay here again.

I was traveling with three college age boys and my husband. Their favorite thing about this hotel was the plethora of beautiful young female staff. All very professional and courteous. Great rooms, good location and extremely helpful!
